What often sticks with us is a surprise. How about putting your customer a little free extra into their bag upon checkout?
Examples
- An everyday item, e.g. a face mask.
- A sample of a product you're selling or your own stickers (brand merchandise).
- A snack, e.g. sweets (nothing fancy and be aware of allergies (avoid nuts etc.)).
Pro tips
- Talk about it. Make the most of the interaction by telling your customers about the gift so they will remember the occasion.
- It doesn't have to be an item from your own stock. Consider to ask your suppliers for a sample!
